Albany is a village in Athens County, Ohio, United States. The population was 808 at the 2000 census.

Albany, Ohio was founded in the 1840s. It was one of several stops in Athens, County for the Underground Railroad and many former slaves decided to stay in the village. The first school in Athens County for African Americans was in Village, which was then over 90% African American.

Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.49% of the population.
